Terms of Use & Liability

By using duffam.com or ordering from DuffAM, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or place an order.

DuffAM is an independent, small-scale 3D printing service operated by Matthew Duffey. DuffAM intends to register as an LLC in 2026; this page will be updated with the registered entity name once that's finalized. DuffAM is a separate business from Matt's employment in aerospace/defense additive manufacturing; nothing on this site represents his employer.

Parts are sold as described, with the specific remedies in our Return & Warranty Policy and no other. Except as stated there, parts are provided without any other warranty, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent the law allows.

3D printed parts — whether FDM, resin, or SLS — have real physical limits on load, heat, flex, and durability. Parts are not intended for safety-critical, structural, medical, or life-safety applications unless explicitly discussed and agreed to in writing before the order is placed. You're responsible for confirming a part is suitable for your actual use before putting it into service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DuffAM's total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. DuffAM is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost time, lost profit, or damage to other property — arising from the use of a part.

If you supply your own design file, you're responsible for confirming you have the right to have it printed (see our Prohibited & Restricted Items Policy) and that the design itself is sound for its intended use. We'll flag anything that looks structurally risky before printing, but the design call is yours.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

We may update these terms as the business grows. The version posted on this page is the current one.
